It wasn’t until a coworker heard him singing and encouraged him to audition for a Fantasia concert at the Florence Civic Center that everything changed. Though he didn’t land the opportunity, the experience lit a fire in him that couldn’t be put out.From that moment, Damien began his journey in music by forming an R&B group named Flawless alongside fellow artist Calvin Mouzon. Performing original songs at karaoke bars and nightclubs, the duo embodied the spirit of new-age R&B. But the group eventually fell apart, and with it, Damien stepped away from music entirely.That’s when he found God.Becoming an ordained minister brought new clarity—and a deeper calling. In a dream, God gave him the lyrics and melody to a song called “Stressing.” Though he lost his voice on the day of recording in 2012, he pushed through and finished the track using Auto-Tune. It wasn’t until 2021 that the song was finally released, and to this day, it remains a personal anthem of endurance, faith, and purpose.Now, Damien is on a mission to merge music, spirituality, and plant-based food into one divine calling—a movement that uplifts the mind, body, and soul. He’s not just an artist or a chef.
